The University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) is an educational and research institution officially founded in 1980. The UPV/EHU has been recognized as a Campus of International Excellence in Research by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN), and in 2021, it was awarded the HRS4R prize by the European Commission for excellence in human resources for research. Two of its fields of study, Journalism and Education, have joined forces to fight disinformation by promoting media and information literacy among European educators across different educational settings.

Iberika education group gGmbH

Iberika education group gGmbH is a private non-profit adult education provider founded in Berlin in 1996. Their main purpose is to promote education, international attitude and tolerance in all fields of culture, through the organization and implementation of courses, seminars, workshops, meetings, exhibitions, performances and public discussions in the areas of new teaching / learning methods as well as motivation strategies for trainers and learners. One of their pillars is the development and implementation of language new tendencies and technology-based curricula.

Stimmuli

Stimmuli is a small-medium enterprise envisioning to inspire future education and ignite positive change in society. To achieve its mission, the organisation designs and implements educational and empowerment projects that cultivate changemaking attitudes, inject entrepreneurial thinking and nudge behavioural shifts for more sustainable lifestyles. STIMMULI brings an extensive experience in designing and implementing educational and empowerment projects that aim at stimulating change in education either at a school, university or VET level.

CESIE ETS

CESIE ETS is a European Centre for Studies and Initiatives based in Palermo, Sicily. It is a non-profit, apolitical, and non-governmental organisation. From 2001, year of its foundation, CESIE’s been committed to ensure cultural, social and economic development. That’s been achieved through active participation of civil society and continuous dialogue with institutions. One of the most relevant challenges for CESIE ETS is to provide quality information for the public; that is possible by promoting Media Education and Critical Thinking inside and outside the organization, constantly collaborating with experts in the fields of non-formal education.

Synergies

UNHCR - ACNUR

Since the late 1960s, UNHCR has had a Representation in Spain whose mandate is to ensure international respect and protection for refugees, displaced persons and asylum seekers. To this end, it has a legal, communication and external relations team that works with governments, NGOs and entities, providing advice, training and promoting resettlement programmes, family reunification and integration of refugees in Spain.

ACNUR is fully engaged in the fight against the spread of disinformation in Europe, since it deeply affects the strive for equal rights of migrant and displaced people.
