How often do you hear someone saying:
“With everything that’s going on around the world, I don’t know who I should trust anymore!”
Why are Trust and Information some of the most discussed topics in the global political agenda?

Think like a journalist
The core mission of journalism is to deliver truthful and relevant information to society, helping us better understand reality. To do this, journalists verify facts, assess the credibility of sources, and distinguish between fact and opinion.
These skills are more crucial than ever in a world where anyone can create and share content through social media and messaging apps. With this power comes individual responsibility—along with a collective risk: the spread of false information designed to mislead us or reinforce biases and prejudices.
The Erasmus+ QYourself project transforms university-level journalism training into accessible tools that any educator can use to teach and apply these essential skills in the classroom. In an age of disinformation, let’s think like journalists.

“Calls on the European institutions for an urgent reflection about the factors that still allow disinformation and misinformation to jeopardise free public speech and to instil a polarised debate where hate prevails over factual information.”

Bringing journalism tools to adult education
for Media and Information Literacy

Education and journalism professionals are collaborating on this project with a shared understanding: disinformation is dangerous because it seeks to reshape public perception, sowing mistrust and division.
We are addressing the spread of verifiably false or misleading information—content created and circulated to generate profit or intentionally deceive. To counter this, European institutions are actively promoting Media and Information Literacy in educational settings.
QYourself was created within this framework, equipping educators with essential journalistic tools to strengthen critical thinking and resilience against disinformation.
